Rick Mohler received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with top honors for design and master's thesis projects. He is a part-time, tenured Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Washington where he is engaged in an academic discourse that invigorates his outlook on practice and enhances the conceptual rigor of the firm’s work.

Rick is active in professional and community organizations as a founding co-chair of the Seattle AIA Future Shack Program, a co-chair of the AIA Seattle Honor Awards and as a juror for AIA Honor Awards programs elsewhere in the country. He was the Vice President of the Madrona Community Council, a steering committee member for the Friends of McDonald School Playground and a mayoral appointee to the Downtown Project Review Panel for the CAP Initiative. Rick is an avid road cyclist, master’s middle distance runner and vinyl LP enthusiast. He lives with his wife and son in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood.


Rick Ghillino received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Washington. Rick brings over three decades of experience in project design, documentation,

management and quality control to the firm. As an Associate at Olson Sundberg Architects, Rick was the project manager for all of the office's large and complex projects. His extensive professional experience, technical knowledge and project management skills ensure that all of our projects receive the same level of commitment to excellence through documentation and construction that they receive throughout the design process.

Rick is a lifetime resident of West Seattle and an avid fly fisherman.
